ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how stimulating a specific part of the nervous system, called the sacral nerve, can help people with overactive bladder (OAB) symptoms. OAB can cause sudden urges to urinate, frequent trips to the bathroom, and sometimes leaking urine. The researchers want to understand better how this nerve stimulation affects the body’s nervous system and to create a tool that could predict how well this treatment will work for individuals.
To be eligible for the study, you must be at least 18 years old and have been diagnosed with OAB. Participants should be ready for a specific type of treatment called sacral neuromodulation (SNM) and should agree to follow all study procedures. If you join the trial, you can expect to undergo the treatment under general anesthesia. It’s important to note that certain recent treatments or conditions, such as pregnancy or specific medical procedures, may prevent you from participating. The trial is not yet recruiting, so keep an eye out for updates if you’re interested!
