ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how different types of exercise programs can affect thinking and memory skills in older adults. The researchers want to see if strength training, a mix of exercises, or no specific exercise at all can help improve cognitive function and physical health in people aged 65 and older who have mild or no cognitive impairment and are already receiving occupational therapy. Participants will take part in the study for 30 weeks, attending three sessions each week, and will be assessed before and after the program to measure changes in their cognitive abilities, sleep quality, physical performance, and body composition.
To join the trial, participants must be over 65 years old. However, those with serious cognitive issues like dementia, certain medical conditions that prevent exercise, language barriers, or ongoing legal matters won’t be eligible. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but if you or a loved one fit the criteria, it could be a great opportunity to engage in an exercise program designed to support both brain health and overall physical well-being.
