ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is investigating how spinal anesthesia, a common method used during cesarean sections, affects the heart's electrical activity in pregnant women, specifically looking at those who are anemic versus those who are not. The study focuses on an important heart measurement called the frontal QRS-T angle, which can help identify potential heart rhythm problems. Anemia during pregnancy is when a woman has lower than normal levels of hemoglobin, which can occur at different levels depending on the stage of pregnancy.

To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be women aged 18 to 45 who are classified as ASA II, meaning they have mild systemic disease but are generally healthy. Women with certain health conditions, such as serious rhythm disorders, liver or kidney failure, or those who are significantly overweight, will not be able to participate. If you join the study, you can expect to undergo routine monitoring during your cesarean section to help researchers gather information about how spinal anesthesia affects your heart's electrical activity. This research could provide valuable insights into the safety of anesthesia methods for both anemic and non-anemic pregnant women undergoing surgery.
