ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "Adiposity, Cardiometabolic and Neurocognitive Health Among Ethnic Groups," is designed to explore how body fat and other health factors relate to conditions like obesity, liver problems, heart disease, and cognitive issues among different ethnic groups. The study will take place at Kings College Hospital and aims to gather information on participants' body measurements, liver fat, and various health risks, all while considering the participants' backgrounds.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be at least 18 years old and have a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or higher, which indicates obesity. However, those with severe obesity (BMI over 50), recent pregnancies, certain chronic health conditions, or specific medications will not be able to participate. If you join the study, you will come to the hospital for a single visit where your body measurements will be taken, and you'll complete questionnaires about your lifestyle and cognitive health. This study is currently recruiting participants, and it's a great opportunity to contribute to important research that could help improve understanding of health issues related to obesity and ethnicity.
