ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is focused on improving support and resources for Spanish-speaking Latiné men who have survived prostate cancer. Prostate cancer affects many Latiné men, but there are challenges in understanding treatment options due to language barriers and cultural differences. The study will involve 288 participants from various medical facilities, including 100 from the Cleveland Clinic. A key part of the research will include focus groups with different groups of men to better understand their experiences and needs. The goal is to create helpful materials, like educational videos in Spanish, to make it easier for these men to make informed decisions about their care.

To participate in this study, you must be an adult over 18 years old who has been diagnosed with localized prostate cancer and has undergone surgery to remove the prostate. Unfortunately, if you primarily speak a language other than English or Spanish, or if you have had certain types of treatments like radiation, you won’t be eligible. Participants will have the opportunity to share their thoughts in focus groups and will help shape the resources developed to support others in similar situations. This study aims to ensure that Spanish-speaking Latiné survivors receive the best care possible tailored to their needs.
