ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at whether a special nursing program can help reduce anxiety in patients who are about to undergo treatment in a hyperbaric chamber, which is a high-pressure environment used for various medical treatments. The study will compare the new nursing approach, which includes educational support, to the standard care that patients usually receive before their sessions.
To participate in this trial, individuals should be between the ages of 65 and 74 or 35 and 52, speak Spanish or Catalan, and have a specific low anxiety score on a questionnaire. Participants will receive helpful information through a brochure and will attend a session half an hour before their first treatment to learn more about how the hyperbaric chamber works, using visual aids to make it clearer. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and it’s important to note that those who feel afraid of the hyperbaric chamber may not be eligible to join.
