ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at two different ways to manage pain after breast surgery. Specifically, it compares two types of nerve blocks—Serratus Anterior Plane Block and Serratus Posterior Superior Intercostal Plane Block—to see which one works better to relieve pain after a mastectomy. The goal is to help patients recover with less pain, reduce the need for strong pain medications, and shorten their hospital stay.
To participate in this trial, you should be a female patient aged between 18 and 74, planning to have a unilateral mastectomy (which means surgery on one breast). You should be in generally good health, classified as ASA I-III, which refers to your physical status. However, you cannot join if you have certain conditions like bleeding disorders, infections near the injection site, allergies to local anesthetics, or if you are pregnant. If you decide to participate, you can expect close monitoring and care to ensure your comfort and safety during your recovery process.
