ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a program led by nurses that uses HeartMath training techniques to help individuals struggling with substance use disorders (SUDs). These techniques aim to improve emotional regulation, which means helping people manage their feelings better, and to build resilience, or the ability to bounce back from challenges. The goal is to support recovery and enhance overall quality of life for those dealing with the effects of substance abuse.
If you or a loved one has been dealing with substance use for at least a month and is looking for support, you might be eligible to participate in this trial. The program is open to individuals aged 65 to 74, and it welcomes participants of any gender. Those who are currently receiving treatment in a hospital are not eligible. Participants can expect to engage in training that teaches them techniques to cope with stress and emotional challenges, ultimately helping them feel more in control of their lives. The trial is currently recruiting, so there’s an opportunity to join this important research effort!
