Anorexia Nervosa Social Interaction Rehabilitation

ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how social interactions and skills can help individuals with Anorexia Nervosa (AN) during their recovery. Anorexia is an eating disorder that can cause not only physical health issues but also emotional struggles like anxiety and depression. The study aims to understand how improving social skills may protect against future relapses, which means going back to unhealthy eating behaviors after treatment.

To participate in this trial, individuals must be between 18 and 65 years old, diagnosed with Anorexia Nervosa, and have a body mass index (BMI) of 17 or lower. They should also be willing to engage in at least 75% of the rehabilitation activities. Participants can expect to take part in a supportive program designed to help them develop better social skills while working on their recovery. Importantly, individuals with other severe mental health conditions or unrelated medical issues will not be eligible for this study.
