ClinConnect Summary
The Atlantic Lipid Lowering Treatment Optimization Program is a clinical trial aimed at improving treatment for people with high cholesterol and related conditions. High cholesterol can lead to serious heart problems, so this program is designed to identify patients at risk and help them get better care. The team, led by Dr. Robert D. Fishberg and Dr. Jeffrey N. Feldman, plans to work closely with primary care doctors to ensure patients receive appropriate treatment based on their specific health needs.
To participate in this trial, individuals may need to meet certain criteria, such as having high levels of LDL cholesterol (the "bad" cholesterol) or a family history of heart disease. The trial is open to adults of all genders, typically between the ages of 65 and 74, who are committed to improving their health. If eligible, participants can expect to receive personalized medical management and support from healthcare professionals to help lower their cholesterol and reduce the risk of heart-related issues. Please note that this trial is not yet recruiting participants, and some individuals, like those who are pregnant or have a terminal illness, will not be eligible to participate.
