ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of adult day programs on older adults, particularly those with dementia and other health issues. The researchers want to find out how attending these programs might help seniors stay healthier, delay moving into long-term care homes, and reduce feelings of depression or cognitive decline. They will compare older adults in Canada who attend these programs with those who do not, looking at different provinces like Alberta, British Columbia, and Manitoba.
To participate, individuals must be 65 years or older and have had a specific assessment done as part of their care. The study will include those who attend adult day programs as well as those receiving other community-based care services. Participants can expect to share their experiences and health outcomes, which will help improve care for seniors in the future. It's important to note that the trial is not yet recruiting participants, so there may be a wait before it begins.
