ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial, titled "Taylor Swift and Mental Health Outcomes," is exploring how pop culture, specifically the music of Taylor Swift, can affect young adults' views on mental health. The study is being conducted in Singapore and aims to understand if listening to Taylor Swift's songs and engaging with her content on social media can help young people recognize mental health issues and feel more comfortable seeking professional help. Researchers will survey over 600 healthy adults aged 18 to 34 to gather information about their mental health, social media use, and attitudes towards getting help for mental health concerns.

To participate, individuals must be healthy adults aged 18 to 34 who have lived in Singapore for at least two years and use social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok. Participants should also be comfortable discussing mental health topics. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and those who join can expect to answer questions about their experiences with mental health and their engagement with Taylor Swift's music and social media presence. This research is important as it could offer new insights into how popular culture influences mental health awareness and support among young adults.
