ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying different methods for detecting significant prostate cancer in men who are having their first biopsy. Researchers want to compare traditional biopsy techniques with new AI-assisted methods to see which one is better at finding cancer that needs treatment. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it will focus on men aged 65 to 74 who have higher levels of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) or abnormal results from a digital rectal exam (DRE).
To participate, men must be over 18 years old, have a PSA level greater than 4 ng/ml, and be able to sign consent forms. However, those with certain medical conditions like prostatitis, or who cannot undergo a biopsy or MRI for any reason, will not be eligible. If you choose to participate, you can expect to undergo either the standard biopsy or the new AI-assisted biopsy, and the results will help improve how prostate cancer is diagnosed in the future.
