ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating how well a medication called vinpocetine works for patients with diabetic kidney disease, specifically those with stages 3 and 4 chronic kidney disease (CKD). The study aims to see if vinpocetine can improve kidney function, blood sugar levels, fat levels, and overall quality of life. Participants will either receive vinpocetine or a placebo (a dummy treatment) twice a day for three months.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be at least 18 years old and have type II diabetes with specific kidney function levels. They should also have been on stable treatment for their diabetes for at least three months before joining the study. Unfortunately, people who have certain serious health issues, are currently pregnant or breastfeeding, or have specific conditions related to their kidneys won’t be able to participate. If you join the study, you’ll receive regular check-ups to monitor your health and see how the treatment is working for you.
