ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial aims to study the levels of vitamin B12 in patients who are on chronic haemodialysis due to end-stage renal disease. The researchers want to understand how low vitamin B12 levels may affect blood health (hematological) and nervous system health (neurological) in these patients. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it is looking for individuals aged 18 and older who are currently receiving haemodialysis.

To be eligible for this study, participants must have end-stage renal disease and be on haemodialysis. However, certain patients, including those who have had a recent kidney transplant or are taking specific medications like chemotherapy or anticonvulsants, will not be included in the trial. If you participate, you can expect to have your vitamin B12 levels checked and monitored, which may help improve our understanding of how vitamin B12 affects your health while on dialysis. This study is important because it could lead to better care for patients with kidney disease.
