ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how common iron deficiency anemia is in children with autism spectrum disorders compared to children without autism. Iron deficiency anemia happens when a person doesn't have enough iron, which is important for making healthy blood. The researchers want to understand if kids with autism are more likely to have this condition.

To participate in the study, children must be diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and be between the ages of 2 and 12 years old. They should not have any ongoing infections or serious physical health issues, and they should not be taking iron supplements. If you choose to take part in the trial, you will help researchers learn more about the health needs of children with autism. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it is important to know that it aims to improve understanding and care for kids with autism.
