ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at ways to help young people in Pakistan who are dealing with feelings of distress and emotional challenges, such as depression and anxiety. The study will test two short and simple programs designed to improve mental health: one is a single-session behavioral activation intervention, and the other is a four-session Mindset intervention. These programs aim to provide support in a way that is easy to access, especially in areas where mental health services are limited and there can be a lot of stigma around seeking help.

To participate in the study, young people aged 12 to 15 years old can join if they have a parent or guardian who can give consent and if they can speak Urdu well enough to understand the materials. Schools can also take part if they are public schools with at least 80 students and agree to be involved. Participants can expect to learn skills that can help them manage their feelings better in a supportive environment. It's important to note that this study is focused on providing help to those who may not need more intensive mental health treatment right now.
