ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the semen analysis of men who have close family members, like a mother or sister, diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). The researchers want to understand if there are any differences in the semen of these men compared to those without a family history of PCOS. This is important because PCOS can affect fertility, and knowing more about the male partners’ health can help couples facing infertility challenges.
To participate in this study, men aged 18 to 40 who are in a relationship where they are trying to conceive may be eligible. They should be healthy with no major medical conditions, and they need to agree to provide a semen sample for testing. Participants will simply provide a sample at the hospital and answer some questions about their health. It’s crucial for potential participants to know that men with certain health issues or those who have had specific medical treatments may not qualify for the study. This research aims to improve our understanding of how family history of PCOS could impact male fertility.
