ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at two different surgical methods for treating Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip (DDH) in young children, specifically those between 1 and 6 years old. The research aims to find out how well these surgeries work in helping children have stable hips, improve their ability to move, and achieve good long-term outcomes. One method involves a procedure called capsulorrhaphy, while the other does not.
To participate in this study, children must be between 1 and 6 years old and have not had any previous surgery for their hip condition. Unfortunately, children who have had surgery before, or those with certain types of hip dislocation related to other medical conditions, cannot join. If a child is eligible and chooses to participate, they can expect to receive one of the two surgical treatments and will be monitored afterward to assess how well they recover and how effective the surgery is in the long run. This trial is important because it may help doctors understand the best way to treat DDH in young children.
