ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how virtual reality and a device called "Buzzy" can help reduce pain, fear, and anxiety in children aged 7 to 10 during a skin prick test, which is a common allergy test. The researchers want to see if these methods can make the experience less stressful for kids compared to traditional approaches. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but eligible children will be those who are having their first prick test, can comfortably speak and understand Turkish, and don't have any serious health or psychological issues.
If your child participates, they will experience either the virtual reality, Buzzy, or standard method during the prick test. The goal is to find out which approach works best in easing pain and anxiety. This study is important because it aims to improve the way we support children during medical procedures, helping them cope better and reducing future anxiety related to healthcare experiences.
