ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding child abuse among school-going children and how training can help teachers better support students who may be experiencing this issue. The study will involve teachers from selected secondary schools in Dhulikhel Municipality, Nepal, who will be trained on how to recognize and respond to signs of child abuse. By comparing trained teachers with those who do not receive this training, the researchers hope to learn more about effective ways to protect children and improve teachers' knowledge and attitudes toward child protection.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be teachers from public or private secondary schools in the Dhulikhel area, while those teaching at primary schools or who choose not to participate will not be included. Teachers selected for the training will undergo a two-week program, after which their knowledge and attitudes will be assessed. This research is important because it aims to identify the factors that contribute to child abuse and enhance the support that teachers can provide, ultimately helping to create a safer environment for children.
