ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether giving families free Oral Rehydration Salts (ORS) and Zinc at home can help more children under the age of 5 in Bauchi, Nigeria get the treatment they need for diarrhea. Diarrhea can be serious for young children, and ORS is a special drink that helps replace lost fluids, while Zinc can help with recovery. The trial will compare families that receive these supplies and information about their importance, with families that continue with regular care without the supplies during the study period.
To participate, you need to be at least 15 years old and have at least one child under 5. You should also be able to understand English or Hausa. If you join, you can expect to receive free ORS and Zinc, along with guidance on how to use them. The researchers will check in with families over the next year to see how often they use the ORS for treating diarrhea. This trial aims to improve health for young children, making sure they get the right treatment when they need it.
