ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how adaptive physical activity can improve the health and fitness of students with intellectual disabilities. The study will explore different ways to help these young people participate in physical activities that are suitable for their needs. By understanding the specific sports and health requirements of this group, the researchers aim to create effective exercise programs that can help them develop basic movement skills, stay active, and improve their overall well-being. The hope is that by engaging in regular physical activity, these students will gain the confidence and abilities needed to participate in sports and social activities throughout their lives.
To be eligible for the study, participants must have a clinical diagnosis of intellectual disability and agree to take part in the exercise program for the duration of the study. They should not have other serious medical conditions that limit their ability to participate in physical activity. Throughout the trial, participants can expect to engage in adapted exercise sessions designed to fit their individual needs, helping them to enjoy sports and enhance their physical health. This trial is currently seeking volunteers who fit these criteria, and it is open to individuals of all genders aged between 18 and 35.
