ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how different education methods can improve bowel preparation for a colonoscopy, which is a test to check for issues in the colon. Specifically, it compares the traditional way of teaching patients about bowel preparation to using a smartphone application that provides enhanced guidance. The main question is whether the smartphone app can help patients achieve better bowel preparation, which is important for a successful colonoscopy.
To participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old and have a reason for needing a colonoscopy. You should also be comfortable using a smartphone app. If you join, you will be randomly assigned to either the group that receives information through the app or the group that gets standard instructions. Everyone will follow the same diet and take the same medication to prepare for the colonoscopy. The doctors performing the colonoscopy will not know which method you received, ensuring fair results. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to help improve the experience and outcomes for future patients undergoing colonoscopy.
