ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how common a condition called Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) is among people with Type 1 Diabetes (T1DM). NAFLD is when fat builds up in the liver without being caused by alcohol use. The researchers want to find out how many patients with T1DM have this condition, which can be important for their overall health.
To participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old and diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. If you decide to join, you’ll need to give written permission for your participation. The study is currently recruiting participants of all genders, but those with a history of heavy alcohol use or other liver diseases will not be eligible. If you join, you can expect to be part of a study that aims to improve understanding of how diabetes may affect liver health. Your involvement could help doctors learn more about this connection and potentially improve care for others in the future.
