ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the effectiveness of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) as a treatment for Chronic Pelvic Pain (CPP) in women. The trial will involve 30 women who experience CPP but do not have any underlying medical issues that cause their pain. Participants will be divided into two groups: one group will receive CBT through 12 sessions, while the other group will not receive this therapy. The main goal is to see how CBT affects the women's pain and quality of life, measured by a specific questionnaire designed for this condition.

To be eligible for the trial, women must be of reproductive age and have chronic pelvic pain without any identifiable medical causes. Additionally, women with conditions like Overactive Bladder Syndrome or Vulvodynia can participate. However, women going through menopause, those with certain medical or hormonal issues, or those with mental health disorders will not be included. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to provide valuable insights into how CBT might help manage chronic pelvic pain for women in the future.
