ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a special program designed to help Chinese immigrant pregnant women in Canada who may be experiencing perinatal depression, a type of depression that can occur during or after pregnancy. The program, called the Thinking Healthy Program (THP), has been adapted for Chinese culture and will be delivered through a user-friendly mobile app. The researchers want to find out if women will find this program helpful and easy to use, and whether the process for getting women involved in the study works well so they can plan for larger studies in the future.
To be eligible for this study, women must be at least 18 years old, pregnant for at least 22 weeks, and identify as first or second-generation Chinese immigrants living in Canada. They should also speak and understand Mandarin, have access to the internet and a smartphone, and be willing to use the app. Participants will start with a questionnaire, use the THP for three weeks, and then complete follow-up questionnaires after their baby is born. This study is currently recruiting participants who meet these criteria, and some may also have the opportunity to join a personal interview.
