ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of vitamin B complex (which includes vitamins B1, B6, B9, and B12) on pain relief after cesarean sections in critically ill women. The goal is to see if adding these vitamins to the usual pain management methods can help reduce pain more effectively while causing fewer side effects, such as those often associated with strong pain medications.
To be eligible for the study, participants must be critically ill obstetric patients who are scheduled to have a cesarean section with spinal or epidural anesthesia. However, women who refuse to participate, have allergies to any of the vitamins, or have certain medical conditions like severe liver or kidney problems will not be included. If you choose to join the trial, you can expect to receive either the vitamin B complex or a placebo (a treatment with no active ingredients) in addition to your regular pain management plan. This study is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to improve pain relief for women undergoing cesarean sections.
