ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how well adolescents with idiopathic scoliosis (a type of curved spine that develops during growth) can perform two tasks at once, and how this affects their ability to use their arms and hands. The researchers want to compare these individuals with healthy peers of the same age and gender to see if there are any differences. They will also look at how these abilities relate to other health measurements and spine images taken during the study.
To participate, individuals need to be diagnosed with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis, but they should not have recent neck, back, or shoulder pain, certain medical conditions, or previous surgeries that could affect their performance. Those who qualify will take part in tests that measure how well they can multitask and will fill out a survey about their arm and hand function. The study is currently recruiting participants aged between 10 to 17 years. This research aims to provide valuable insights into how scoliosis impacts daily activities and could help improve treatment approaches for affected adolescents.
