ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the best timing for transferring an embryo during in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment for women facing infertility. Specifically, it compares transferring the embryo on day 5 versus day 6 after fertilization to see which timing leads to a higher rate of successful pregnancies. The main goal is to find out how many women become pregnant after the embryo transfer, while also looking at the rate of miscarriages for those who do get pregnant.
To participate in this study, women need to be at least 18 years old and must be undergoing their first cycle of a specific type of IVF called intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), where a single embryo is transferred. There is no upper age limit for participants. If you join the trial, you will be assigned either to the group that has the embryo transferred on day 5 or the group that has it transferred on day 6. The study is being conducted at three different fertility centers, and they are currently looking for participants.
