ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding how acute heart failure (HF) affects both diabetic and non-diabetic patients. Heart failure is a serious condition where the heart struggles to pump blood effectively, and it can lead to hospitalization, especially in older adults. The study aims to learn more about the short-term outcomes for patients who are admitted to the hospital with this condition, particularly looking at how diabetes might influence their recovery and overall health.
To participate in this trial, you need to be at least 18 years old and currently hospitalized with acute heart failure, whether it’s a new condition or an existing one that has worsened. Unfortunately, those under 18 or with chronic heart failure (a long-term form of the disease) cannot join. If you decide to participate, you’ll be helping researchers gather important information that could improve treatment and outcomes for future patients with heart failure. Your involvement may also provide you with additional resources and support during your hospital stay.
