ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how surgery for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) affects certain markers that indicate difficulties with airway management, which is important for safe anesthesia during surgery. The researchers want to see how these markers change six months after the surgery. This is important because understanding these changes can help improve care for patients who have OSA and may require surgery in the future.
To be eligible for the trial, participants need to be between 18 and 65 years old and classified as having a low to moderate risk for surgery (based on a scale called the ASA score). They should also be scheduled to undergo surgery specifically for obstructive sleep apnea. Participants will be asked to provide both verbal and written consent to join the study. Those who cannot give consent will not be included. If you decide to participate, you can expect to have your airway markers assessed before and after the surgery, helping to contribute to valuable research in this area.
