ClinConnect Summary

The clinical trial titled "Keep Exercising & Stay Steady" is focused on helping older adults maintain their exercise routines after completing fall prevention programs. Falls are a significant health concern for seniors, as they can lead to serious injuries like broken bones and hospital stays. This study aims to create a digital home exercise program that encourages older adults to keep exercising, helping them stay strong and reduce their risk of falling as they age. By promoting ongoing physical activity, the goal is to support older adults in living independently and confidently.

To participate in this trial, individuals must be over 60 years old, currently enrolled in a falls prevention program in the Northeast region of England, and able to provide informed consent. However, those who cannot walk independently, have been advised against exercise by a doctor, or have certain medical conditions that affect their ability to engage with technology or exercise safely will not be eligible. Participants can expect to work with a team to develop and test the new exercise program, contributing to an important effort to improve health and safety for older adults at risk of falls.
