ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking into the risk factors for anxiety and depression in patients who suffer from herpes zoster neuralgia, which is a type of nerve pain that can occur after a shingles infection. Researchers want to understand how these mental health issues may be connected to changes in certain blood markers and brain images. The study is currently recruiting participants aged 18 and older who have been diagnosed with herpes zoster neuralgia and can provide informed consent. However, individuals with a history of mental illness or who cannot complete the necessary assessments will not be eligible to participate.
If you choose to join this study, you will be asked to undergo some assessments that will help researchers learn more about your mental health and how it relates to your condition. The findings from this trial could provide valuable insights into how to better support patients experiencing both physical and mental health challenges related to herpes zoster neuralgia. Your participation could contribute to improving care for others in the future!
