ClinConnect Summary
The Lower Silesian Orbital Atherectomy Registry (LOAR) is a clinical study aimed at understanding the safety and effectiveness of a special procedure called percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for patients with calcified blockages in their heart arteries. This study is taking place in two hospitals in Poland, where researchers will gather information from patients who are treated with a device designed to help remove these hard deposits. The goal is to collect detailed data on how well this treatment works and any safety issues that may arise.
If you or a loved one has moderately to severely calcified lesions in the coronary arteries, you might be eligible to participate in this trial. To join, you must agree to take part, and you cannot be pregnant or have had complications from previous procedures. Participants can expect to receive care for their condition while contributing to important research that could help improve heart treatments in the future. This study is currently looking for new participants, and everyone, regardless of gender, between the ages of 65 and 74 is welcome to consider joining.
