ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how effective two different types of treatments are for children with a unilateral cleft lip and palate, which is a condition where the lip and the roof of the mouth do not fully close. The trial will compare adhesive nasoalveolar molding (GS-NAM) with conventional nasoalveolar molding to see which one better supports the growth and alignment of the mouth and nose. The goal is to evaluate how well these treatments help with the positioning of the jaw and the symmetry of the nose.
To participate in this trial, children must be between 1 to 8 weeks old and have a unilateral cleft lip and palate. They should not have any other developmental issues or previous surgeries for this condition. Parents or guardians who are willing and motivated to pursue this treatment are encouraged to consider joining. While this trial is not yet recruiting participants, it aims to provide valuable information that could improve care for children with this condition in the future.
