ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying lichen planus (LP), a long-lasting skin condition that causes inflammation and can affect both the skin and the inside of the mouth. Researchers want to learn more about certain markers in the body that may help understand how LP develops and whether it is linked to a virus called human papillomavirus (HPV). The trial aims to find out if unique genetic markers, called clonotypes, can be used to better diagnose LP, especially in cases where it's hard to tell if it's LP or another skin condition.
To participate in this study, you must be diagnosed with lichen planus for the first time or experiencing a worsening of the condition, and you should not have received any systemic treatments recently. You also need to be able to read and understand French and be covered by French social security. Participants will undergo some tests to help researchers gather information about their condition, and the trial is currently looking for volunteers. This research could lead to better ways to identify and understand lichen planus in the future.
