ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) on critically ill patients who are experiencing organ failure. The research aims to find out if TCM can help prevent or treat problems related to failing organs in patients admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU). Over a period of two weeks, patients in the trial will receive TCM treatments, and their progress will be compared to other patients who did not receive TCM but were treated in the same ICU.
To participate in this study, you must be at least 20 years old and currently in the surgical ICU. It's important that your doctor approves the use of TCM for your treatment. If you or your family members are not comfortable with TCM, you will not be eligible for the trial. Participants will be monitored closely to see how TCM affects their organ function, the length of their ICU stay, and their overall recovery. This trial is currently recruiting, and everyone, regardless of gender, can take part as long as they meet the criteria.
