ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a condition called intracranial atherosclerotic disease (ICAD), which can lead to strokes, particularly in the back part of the brain. The goal of the study is to create a simple scoring system that helps doctors identify ICAD before a procedure known as mechanical thrombectomy (MT), which is used to remove blood clots from the brain. By recognizing these issues early, doctors can provide better care for patients experiencing certain types of strokes.

To participate in this trial, you need to be an adult aged 18 or older who has had a stroke in the back part of the brain and has undergone mechanical thrombectomy. However, if you've had a stroke in the front part of the brain, have bleeding in the brain, or lack necessary imaging data, you won't be eligible. While the trial is not currently recruiting participants, it hopes to help improve diagnosis and treatment for future patients facing similar health challenges.
