ClinConnect Summary
The "PrediSuisse" clinical trial is studying a new software that aims to help doctors predict how difficult it might be to place a breathing tube (called intubation) in patients undergoing general anesthesia. This software will analyze facial features and movement, creating a score that indicates how challenging the intubation could be, based on three different types of specialized tools used for this procedure. By using this tool, anesthesiologists can better prepare for the intubation process and manage any risks involved.
To participate in this trial, you need to be an adult (18 years or older) who is scheduled for elective surgery requiring general anesthesia and tracheal intubation. You should also be able to understand and speak French or Italian, depending on the location of the study in Switzerland. However, if you have had prior surgery on your airway that has changed its structure, or if you cannot follow instructions or provide consent, you won’t be eligible. Participants will be informed about the study and will be asked to sign a consent form before taking part. This trial is not yet open for recruitment, but it aims to make airway management safer and more effective for patients.
