ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new way to diagnose Primary Sjögren Syndrome (pSS), an autoimmune disease that causes dryness in the mouth and eyes, along with fatigue and joint pain. Traditionally, doctors take a small sample from a salivary gland to look for specific signs of the disease, but this process can take time. This trial is exploring a technique called full-field optical coherence tomography (FF-OCT), which could help doctors see changes in the salivary gland tissue more quickly and efficiently during the biopsy.
To participate in this trial, you need to be over 18 years old and have been diagnosed with suspected Sjögren Syndrome, and you must be able to have the new imaging test done at the same time as the biopsy. If you join, you can look forward to potentially receiving faster results about your condition, which could help guide your treatment. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and anyone interested should talk to their doctor to see if they qualify.
