ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how well stimulant medications work when they are infused through midline catheters (MC) placed in specific veins, particularly the axillary and subclavian veins. The goal is to understand how different doses of these medications and the length of infusion impact complications related to the catheters. By studying this, researchers hope to improve safety guidelines for using these catheters, reduce the need for more invasive central venous catheters, and ultimately lower healthcare costs while ensuring patients receive effective treatment.

To be eligible for the trial, participants must be at least 18 years old and have a midline catheter placed in the right location. However, people who have had a central venous catheter placed at the same time as their midline catheter or those from vulnerable groups (like minors or critically ill patients) cannot participate. If you join the trial, you can expect to be part of a study that aims to help improve medical practices and patient safety regarding catheter use. This study has not started recruiting participants yet, so keep an eye out for updates if you're interested!
