ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking to understand how common pelvic floor disorders are in female badminton players compared to women who do not engage in regular physical activity. Pelvic floor disorders can affect bladder control and overall pelvic health. The researchers believe that female badminton athletes may experience these issues more frequently due to the physical demands of their sport.
To participate in the study, women who play badminton—either recreationally or competitively—will be compared to women who lead a more sedentary lifestyle and do not meet the recommended levels of exercise. However, women with certain connective tissue diseases, those who are currently pregnant, have given birth in the last year, or do not speak Spanish will not be eligible. If you qualify and decide to join, you can expect to help researchers gain valuable insights into this important health issue.
