ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is designed to see how adapted physical activity (which means exercise that is modified to fit the needs of children) can affect the sleep quality of children aged 5 to 16 who are being treated for blood cancer. The researchers believe that getting kids to engage in this type of daily physical activity may help them sleep better.
To participate in the study, children must be between 5 and 16 years old and currently undergoing treatment for a type of blood cancer. They also need to have consent from their parents or guardians. However, some children cannot join, such as those taking high-dose steroids, those with sleep disorders, or those on certain medications for sleep. The trial is not yet recruiting, but once it starts, families can expect their child to be involved in a program that encourages safe physical activity, with the hope of improving their sleep quality during treatment.
