ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how critically ill patients are transported within the hospital, particularly those in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The researchers want to understand different practices for patient transport in various ICUs and to find out how often patients experience problems during these transports. Previous studies suggest that about one-third of patients may face some issues when moved, which can include more serious complications. The goal of this study is to gather more reliable data on these occurrences.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be at least 18 years old, currently hospitalized in the ICU, and require transport within the hospital for procedures like imaging or surgery. Unfortunately, individuals who are under guardianship, already part of the study, or being moved to another ward (not back to the ICU) won't be included. If you or a loved one participates, you can expect to help researchers better understand and improve the safety of transporting critically ill patients within hospitals.
