ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how a special program called THRIVE can help young people who have been hurt by violence, like gunshots or stabbings, to recover and avoid getting hurt again. The researchers want to see if participating in THRIVE makes a difference in how well these young people can thrive in life, which means feeling good and doing well after a traumatic experience. They will collect information by having participants fill out surveys, take part in interviews, and track whether they experience any new injuries over the next several years.
To be part of this study, you need to be between 14 and 29 years old and have been treated for a violent injury. It's important to note that the study is not open for participants yet, and certain individuals, such as those who can't give consent because of a language barrier or brain injury, or those who have experienced sexual assault or self-harm, won't be eligible to join. This research aims to understand the effectiveness of the THRIVE program in helping young people heal and reduce the chances of getting hurt again.
