ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying autoimmune encephalitis (AE), a serious brain condition that causes inflammation and can lead to severe health issues, requiring care in an intensive care unit (ICU). The researchers want to understand which factors might predict a poor recovery for adult patients with AE who need ICU treatment. They will look at the medical history and characteristics of these patients to find out what may impact their outcomes. This study will take place at the Second Xiangya Hospital in China and will include adults aged 15 and older who have been diagnosed with either "definite" or "probable" AE according to specific guidelines.

If you or a family member meets the criteria for this trial, you can expect to be part of a study that aims to improve our understanding of AE and its effects. Participants will be monitored in the ICU, and researchers will analyze various factors to see how they relate to recovery. However, individuals with incomplete medical information or those who stay in the ICU for less than 24 hours will not be included in the study. This research could help develop better treatments and support for future patients dealing with this challenging condition.
