ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking to understand how common a condition called Metabolic Dysfunction Associated Fatty Liver Disease (MAFLD) is in patients who are experiencing acute coronary syndromes (ACS), which include serious heart problems like heart attacks and unstable angina. The researchers want to find out how often this fatty liver disease occurs in these patients to better understand their health needs.
To participate in the study, individuals must be at least 18 years old and have been hospitalized due to acute coronary syndromes, where they underwent a procedure called coronary angiography to examine their heart. However, people who have a history of alcohol or drug abuse, certain liver infections, liver cancer, or who are pregnant will not be eligible to join the trial. While the study is not yet recruiting participants, those who do take part can expect to contribute valuable information that could help improve care for patients with both heart and liver conditions in the future.
