ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating a treatment called Cardioneuroablation (CNA) for patients who experience severe fainting spells known as reflex syncope, which can cause the heart to stop beating for a few seconds. The goal of the study is to see how CNA affects heart function and whether it might lead to irregular heartbeats, particularly in the lower chambers of the heart. The researchers will look at heart activity before and after the CNA procedure in 50 patients to understand its effects more clearly.
To be eligible for the study, participants need to have experienced repeated fainting due to their heart briefly stopping, shown by a heart monitor. They should have tried other treatments that didn't work and must agree to participate by signing a consent form. During the trial, participants will undergo the CNA procedure, and doctors will monitor their heart activity at different stages to gather essential information. This study is currently looking for volunteers, and it's important for potential participants to know that their safety is a priority, and all necessary precautions will be taken.
