ClinConnect Summary
The clinical trial titled "Black Resilient Caregivers" is looking into ways to support the health of African American families, particularly focusing on physical and emotional well-being. This study aims to see if a special program can help families who are expecting a baby, especially those dealing with challenges related to obesity in children. The trial is currently recruiting participants who identify as African American or Black, are expecting a child due in September, October, or November 2024, and feel comfortable sharing their experiences in a group setting. Participants should also live in North Carolina and have access to Zoom for meetings.
If you join this study, you can expect to engage in discussions with other families, share your experiences, and learn ways to promote better health for you and your baby. It’s important to note that your baby and you should be home from the hospital within 96 hours of birth to participate. This trial not only aims to gather valuable information but also looks to create a supportive community for participants.
